PRIVACY ACT (COMMONWEALTH) 1988 — Collection & use of personal information

1.    If you are an individual, we collect your personal information and will use it and will provide it to others with whom we need to have contact with, in connection to performing our role as your estate agent. 
2.    We will collect and use your personal information in connection with;
   (i)     providing details of the sale of the property to associated real estate governing bodies and internet service providers to enable them to collect and/or disseminate details of the sale of real estate,
   (ii)    to enable us to promote our services and seek out potential clients,
   (iii)   to respond to enquiries received from Consumer Affairs Victoria relating to this Authority and / or the sale of the Property,
   (iv)   acting for you and perform our obligations under this Authority, or carry out other instructions you give us during the term of this Authority,
   (v)    liasing with your conveyancer, legal practitioner, accountant, financial planner or institution, tradespeople, bodies corporate, government, statutory or municipal bodies or other necessary third parties in connection with performing our obligations under this Authority or other instructions you may give to us,
   (vi)   providing estimates of the selling price of real estate as required by the Estate Agents Act 1980,
   (vii)  preparing appraisals and / or valuations of real estate, and
   (viii) Commonwealth and Victorian laws relating to the sale of real estate, taxation, foreign investment, money laundering, and terrorism.
3.    You may contact us between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday (public holidays excepted) to attain access to or amend the personal information we hold about you.   Our contact details can be accessed from the home page of this web site.
4.    The main consequence for you if all or part of your personal information is not provided is that we may not be able to act for you and / or effectively perform our obligations as your estate agent.

We use personal information collected from you during open inspections for security purposes.
